Interesting–i heard a talk by two experts on dyslexia who showed how dyslexics use a different part of the brain to compensate for a verbal center that isn’t up to speed. i went up to them afterward to ask how dyslexia affects music, and they said they did not find that it affected music playing very much.. Trouble with reading words can also impact a child’s ability to read, decode and interpret music. that doesn’t mean kids with dyslexia can’t learn to play music and enjoy doing it, though. the brain systems involved with dyslexia are complicated, and they vary from child to child.. piano lessons for dyslexics
